Christmas-Revisited
Dearly Beloved,
On this day we will celebrate the birth of our
LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.
Now I know many of you reading have heard or read
the story of the birth of CHRIST, and on that note,
I wanted to focus on some key facts to remember,
on this recognized Holy Day.
To understand Christmas we must first start at the birth of Jesus Christ.
Why was he born?, Why is he so important?,or
Why is there a need to celebrate the gift he gave to this world?,
and why do we extol this holiday.
To answer the first question, we will look in the book of John.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
Beloved, Christ was born because quite simply, GOD LOVES US.
The living GOD loves us so much that he sent down his son to save us
from the inhumanity and bondage of sin.
Jesus Christ is the atonement for our sins.
Be not deceived!, justice must be satisfied, the evil that we do must be paid for, some (sadly), pay a higher price than others, but CHRIST paid for us all...IN FULL.
Jesus died so that we could obtain humanity and true freedom.
Some foolishly believe the teachings of Jesus is meant to condemn people.
Oddly this belief is held by Christians and Non-Christians alike.
What they soon discover it that they are both misguided.
In the book of John 3:17 we read, For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Remember we are all going to be judged by the perfect, supreme, justice of the LORD, so GOD sent Jesus so we could attain mercy from justice, redemption from sin, and given back our true freedom from sin to life everlasting.
You see Jesus Christ took our place in judgement to satisfy justice,
how great a gift indeed.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned:but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
John 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
John 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
In the teachings of Jesus Christ is the true definition
and outline of what it really means to be human and Humane,
how to live life with Love, for Love, and a holy life through Love.
Jesus is the example of what it means to be the best human being we can possibly be. Now this is the real reason we celebrate Christmas.
From all of us to all of you, have a blessed;
MERRY CHRISTMAS

A PEOPLE DIVIDED WILL FALL,
LET US BE A PEOPLE UNITED."
