9/11

Dear Beloved,

On this date in 2001, the world as seen through American eyes changed. We witnessed an act Of terrorism that changed the face of a nation. The acts of the terrorists and the loss of lives gave them cause to rejoice, but what they failed to see was that instead of instilling fear, they empowered Hero’s, instead of causing separation and confusion, they ignited unity and a firm resolve. Instead of making citizens cower and retreat, they made us wake with renewed vigor and patriotism. We have heard the old saying “Freedom isn’t free”, and as it stands there is most certainly a price to be paid. Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
We are fighting a cold war of sorts, fighting against an ideology that presumes its rights are at the exclusion of all others. This stands in the face of religious tolerance and what we as a society under our constitution hold to be true. No matter what you feel about this war and the way it is handled, beyond political boundaries, Beyond religious limitations, let us in one resounding voice declare our pledge of allegiance.
Let us in one voice determine our resolve, being, ONE NATION UNDER GOD INDIVISABLE WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. GOD BLESS AMERICA, and the men and women of our fighting forces. STAND together, no matter what religion you are, pray together, pray in unison so loud and great that it may put a smile on the face of GOD, and cause the bells of freedom and liberty to ring from sea to shining sea.

Remember those who died.
Remember those who lived.
Remember those who gave all.
Remember those who gave some.
In all these things remember and never forget, least we see it again.

Remember those who have flags able to be lowered, the flag is at half staff in honor of the lives of those that have gone on to glory.

Food for the Soul

Dear Beloved,

Today’s message is entitled FOOD FOR THE SOUL, today’s society tries to put tremendous effort into commercials, ads, and various mediums to get people to watch their weight and focus on their physical bodies. Ads to show a person how to eat healthy, wipe away wrinkles, enhance physical beauty, and live
by their assessment a long and favorable life. Every day we experience some form of reinforcement to keep the body fit and youthful looking. But what about the soul? How many of us see any commercials showing how to keep the soul fit, or how to feed the soul and exercise it to keep it in shape and in balance with the physical body. Not surprisingly most of us, though we may watch our calorie intake and exercise, and though we may get a clean bill of health from the doctor, we are severely malnourished.
We are in fact dieing from the inside out do to lack of food that the soul needs to sustain itself. This neglect is significant and if left in it’s present downhill slope, will become an epidemic which gives rise to magnanimous acts of inhumanity.
WE MUST FEED THE SOUL!, it never fails to amaze me that many brothers and sisters will spend enormous amounts of money, time and energy to devote to the care of their body but contribute virtually nothing to the care of their spirit or soul. The soul needs nourishment as the body needs food. The food for the soul is the Gospel for those who don’t understand what the Gospel means, it is in the HOLY BIBLE where we find the bread of life and the living water, to feed our souls.
