The Christian

Dearly Beloved,

Beloved, being a Christian is not for the faint of heart.
Who ever said being a Christian is easy has not read nor understood the gospel. The life of a Christian is one of trials
and perseverance, pain and travail, truth and promise, hope and love.
If we are true disciples of Christ then we learn that in
Mat_10:24- The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.
As disciples we can expect the same type of treatment Jesus went through.
Understanding what Jesus Christ is and what he went through gives us a clear indication of what we as Christians should expect, by knowing this expectation we finally come to know what is a Christian.

Our Savior is...

Phi_2:8 - Obedient
Mat_11:29 - Lowly
1Pe_2:22 - without Guile
Heb_4:15 - Tempted
Isa_53:7 - Oppressed
Isa_53:3 -Despised
Isa_53:3 - Rejected
Mat_27:3 -Betrayed
Mar_14:64 - Condemned
1Pe_2:23 - Reviled
Joh_19:1 - Scourged
Mat_27:29 - Mocked
Isa_53:5 - Wounded
Isa_53:5 - Bruised
Isa_53:4 - Stricken, Smitten
Psa_22:1 - Forsaken
Crucified - We are crucified daily by mans inhumanity towards one another.
Mat_23:11 - Servant
Mar_10:44 - Servant of all

This is what our savior is and Jesus being our master, he is our example, and we being the students now know how to follow.
This is the true Christian, the real disciple of Christ.

This is what a Christian is, a believer, a soldier in the army of GOD, fighting against inhumanity on every front. I leave this with you in Jesus Christ Amen.
