BE A LIGHT UNTO THE WORLD
Dearly Beloved,
Be a light to the world!
Mat 5:14 it reads Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
In Mat 5:14 Jesus tells us that we are a light, but unfortunately for many Christians we have forgotten how to shine. Perhaps we need to revisit what Jesus means when he says light. Does he mean run out at night and light match?, No, Jesus means us to be so much more.
Let us begin by asking the question, what does light do.
• Dissipates the darkness
• Makes visible things that where previously hidden.(or not visible)
• Makes a person able to see near and far.
• Chases away the shadows
• And as in ( Mat 5:15 ) we find that light allows an atmosphere where all who are around are able to see as well,( If they so chose).
The reason I say If they so choose is because not all people choose to see the light, some sadly would rather remain in their present darkness. Or in other words some people could see darkness in the sun.
The other aspect of light where many Christians fail, in the example of light is... light simply illuminates, it neither forces nor coerces anything to see, It merely provides an atmosphere by anyone willing to open their eyes so that they can see.
The word of GOD provides the means to understand the light, and the darkness.
The light bringing forth Truth, Hope, Charity, Clarity, Patience, Joy, Courage, and the greatest of these LOVE.
The darkness, which is the absence of light, bringing forth Hopeless, Helplessness, Depression, Violence, Ignorance, Bondage, Slavery, and the greatest of these Jealousy and Hate.
The Word of GOD lights the mind, when we ask Jesus Christ to be our Savior and come under the blood of his salvation, the spirit of GOD lights our souls, and by living the Gospel of Peace we begin to illuminate the world with the power of GOD.
Jesus Says in;
Joh 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
Those in Jesus Christ walk in the light and shine, by their faith, into the dark world of unbelief, we shine by the power of GOD with the Potency of his Love, chasing away the shadows, eliminating the darkness, bringing clarity to those things which pertain to our lives.
Be A light unto the world, Illuminate the darkness with the Gospel of Peace and the Love of GOD.
