Through The Fire

Dear Friends,

In the wake of recent tragedies Hurricane Katrina, the remembrance
and memorial for the September 11 attacks, some Christians
and non-Christians are finding themselves angry and disillusioned
wandering where is GOD.
As we look in the book of Job we discover part of the answer to this
most serious question. Job as we know was a GOD obeying, righteous
man, who in one moment lost his children, wealth, and health,
and if that were not enough, his friends that came to see him
brought no comfort but accused him of doing something wrong
to warrant his misfortune.
Job's life become one of great pain and sorrow, so great was his
pain that even his wife told him to curse GOD and die.
Yet even in this situation he chose not to curse God but remained
faithful, although he wandered why he was suffering, why this
happened to him, and what was done to have these calamities befall
him and his family.
Job received an answer... The Lord answered Job by letting him know
that all things are in the hand of GOD and that just because we are
faithful and do goodly and godly
things we are not exempt from the trials of life.
Despite the pitfalls and the tragedies we must endure, we have hope
in a loving, wonderful, forgiving, LIVING GOD who is there with
us as we go through the fires of our life.

In 1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Jam 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord(of the trial that we must endure ) ; that the Lord is very pitiful (GOD has pity on us), and of tender mercy.

After the Lord spoke to Job he delivered him from his disease and gave Job twice what he had before in all things. Jesus never said it would be easy but he did say that he would be there through it all and that those who endured would, Rise Again from the ashes to glory, Love, and Joy. GOD has not forgotten you, neither has he forsaken you, but he is with you as you go through every tribulation in your life, waiting, with open arms to comfort you and strengthen you .

May God bless those who suffer and are in pain.
And heal those who grieve and morn.
And Strengthen those who have lost strength.

In Jesus Christ Amen

With Love

Katrina

Dearly Beloved,

The effects of Hurricane Katrina has devastated not only New Orleans,
neighboring states, and the coast, it has hurt our nation,
and we as a people.
We have seen our nation rise to help others with timeliness and
expediency, yet somehow in our backyard we have been found wanting.
The time when these questions must be answered will come, and perhaps with it repercussions that may hurt us all.
Let us come together NOW and call on the LORD, with prayers, and with any help no matter how small or large.
The local Red Cross in your area are standing by to receive donations (preferably in monetary form)check your local phone directory. Here are some other links to other organizations to help in this national crisis.
