Merry Christmas or Christ-Mass

Dear Friends,

Christ:
Christians believe he is both God and man--the Messiah sent to save the human race from the sin it inherited through the Fall of Man (circa 8 BC - 29 AD).

Mass:
1.Occurring widely (as to many people).
2.A sequence of prayers constituting the Christian Eucharistic rite.

These two words form together the name given to honor the occasion ( For Christians) the birth of the messiah who was sent to free all mankind from the bondage of sin. A mass of people for Christ, or a def 2. Mass for Christ.

Christmas is the final result, but over the years commercialism has all but removed the true meaning.

Christmas is not about the gifts but the gift, please let me explain.
The birth of the Jesus Christ is the gift to mankind because Jesus brought to mankind the way to, Peace, Love, Forgiveness, Redemption, Grace, and a way back to true humanity and to our heavenly father.

You see, Christ is the gift that keeps on giving. In this commercialized world promoting expensive gifts and gift ideas we sometimes forget the reason for the season and the true gift which is Love, Faith, and humanity reborn.

Let us also respect other religions during this season who celebrate their own way, to note some:

Hanukkah Dec. 8-15
Kwanzaa Dec. 26-Jan 1

Other things to note this month:

World AIDS Day Dec. 1

International Day for the Abolition of Slavery
Dec. 1

National Day of Remembrance & Action on Violence Against Women. Dec. 6

Human Rights Day (UN) Dec. 10
